CHILDREN'S CHORUS
The Children’s Chorus is open to students who will be entering grades 6 through 8 in the Fall. ​Students must have unchanged treble voices.
Choristers are selected through application and audition.
The Children's Chorus traditionally performs at Severance Hall with The Cleveland Orchestra and The Cleveland Orchestra Chorus as well as other community events.
The ensemble rehearses on Tuesday evenings between September and May - each season varies slightly.

PREPARATORY CHORUS
The Preparatory Chorus is open to students who will be entering grades 4 through 6 in the Fall. ​Students must have unchanged treble voices.​
​
The Preparatory Chorus does not require an audition. Choristers are accepted by registration. Registered singers will need to attend a meet and greet session prior to the start of the season to participate.
​
​The ensemble performs in 3-4 community concerts each year and frequently sings with the Youth and Children's Choruses.
​
The ensemble rehearses on Tuesday evenings between September and May - each season varies slightly.
​

Find Your Voice
We are looking for new choristers to join The Cleveland Orchestra Children's Choruses for the 2025-2026 Season! The Children's Choruses are open to students with unchanged voices entering grades 4-8 in the Fall.
​Auditions for the Children's Chorus (6th to 8th grade) for the 2024-25 season will take place between Tuesday, May 6 through Thursday, May 8. You can schedule your audition HERE. Applicants will be asked to complete the following:

​Sing a favorite song that best showcases their voice.

If your child does not have a song to share, the directors will have them sing a familiar song such as Happy Birthday or America the Beautiful.

​​Short vocal exercises to assess a variety of vocal production skills.
Registration for the Preparatory Chorus (4th to 6th grade) for 2025-26 is open. Singers are not required to audition and only need to complete the ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM and attend one Meet & Greet Session which you can sign-up for HERE. All singers who have completed a registration form and attended a Meet & Greet session are accepted into the Preparatory Chorus!
